This is a stainless steel satin finished blade. The tang is tapered (first time for me). The wood is desert Ironwood. A really nice figured piece of wood. Stainless steel bolts/pins and a thin black liner. I was a little uptight working with this wood because I didn't want to mess it up! The sheath is made by my brother. Thanks for looking.

(Matching pen was posted on show off your pens yesterday)

Thanks for all the comments.

I like the tapered tang Mike. Did you buy the knife blank? Beautiful piece of wood. I have a set of DIW knife scales just waiting to be used.
Steve,
I design my own knives and cut them out of bar stock (no knife blanks). I really like DIW. Makes a great knife handle and a pen as well. Actually, I would love to make a coffee table out of it, or turn a lamp, or a bowl....:)
