It's been way too long since I've cranked up the lathe. A custom order from a lady in Alberta Canada forced me to break my hiatus and I'm happy it was a quick turning with a happy ending. There's a hint of Fall in the air and I think I'll be back in the shop next week playing with my new planer and working on some cutting boards.

Hi Steve,

I really like the colors in the blank and I assume you made it .... congrats on a very artistic blank and seam ripper with matching colored picture framing!!

Having said that, the province of Alberta is next door to me and I am wondering why your customer went so far afield and commissioned a penturner in Florida !!!!!

She obviously knows a true artisan when she sees his work !!!! :):):) . Perhaps she is a snow-bird who winters in your area !

I bought the Diva Glam blank from Exotic Blanks. The buyer said she looked for a long time before finding my seam ripper so obviously she's a discriminating buyer! ;o)
Glad you liked it too. Thanks!
