i'm attempting to make my Uncle a desk set with a pen & pencil plus a military insignia... I have no problem with the pen/pencil turning or the military insignia but welcome any suggestions on the base from other wood turners. I have searched all the normal sites (i.e. amazon, etc.) but haven't found a source for bases that I might use... Noooo, I don't have a router or the experience to use it, sooo any ideas and suggestions will be welcome! Thanks in advance and safe turning to all!
It wasn't complete here, but it was close. There was a trim ring added, and then a spray on poly finish.
