First attempt at a deer grunt call. My customer who deals in the sinker cypress wanted to know if I could turn one using a piece of the cypress. I told him I could probably make one but had no idea what they should sound like. I was telling a friend about it, and naturally, he said to make two. So I made another one out of some RWB laminate, but I will have to order another reed set for it.

I've been wanting to make a few of these for myself and hunting buddies. They look nice. All they need now is a lanyard. Thanks for sharing!

I was never a hunter, so I didn't know what they were supposed to sound like, but I made a dozen or so over the years and have sold all but 2 or 3.... first one I made sounded like some one passing gas... but then after that, they all sounded that way, so
I guess they were right....

Yours are very nice looking... I like the shape and the wood you used on both.
