Hi All,

My wife works beside a lady who has been through some very difficult times of late, and she asked if I could make her a simple cross. She asked that it in some way symbolised the crusification, but showed that christ was no longer on the cross.

I made the below cross, which I hope she likes! The holes I thought could be symbolic of the crusifiction.

Hi,

The wood is spalted elm, with a piece of African Blackwood holding the cross together at the centre of the mitre joint.

It would have been nice to make the cross in BOW, as the lady is a devout catholic, but at 10" (25cm's) I didn't have a piece big enough.

Thanks,
