Copper Vein

After turning the razor and stand using Lava Lamp blanks called "Copper Vein" I decided to try casting a razor brush handle to match. I used a 3" piece of 1" PVC pipe and did a 3 color pour: one ounce of PR with copper Pearlex, one ounce with silver Pearlex, and one ounce with silver Pearlex and 2 drops of Alumilite black dye. I placed a piece of wire bent like a lightning bolt in the pipe and rotated it while withdrawing it from the poured resin. This creates the swirl. I let the PR set up for about 25 minutes before pouring hoping the extra set time would keep the colors from mixing.

I think the brush handle is a pretty close match. Sweet!
