I recently did a club demonstration on using CA to finish an object larger than a pen. These three small bowls range between 2+" and 5" in size. Each small bowl was turned to a different stage of completion, then the demo began showing how to finish the inside of the bowl, then the outside, and finally the bottom. None of the bowls were completed at the meeting, I completed them after the meeting. I have a 7" Cherry Bowl on the lathe now.

Randy,

I did a couple of bowls and a plate with CA finish back when I was still in Japan. If I remember correctly I finished the plate by sanding to 4000 MM to keep the shine down in order to see the grain. I haven't been able to find the plate since returning to the USA in late 2010. :frown: But we still have about 20 boxes still unopened and maybe it is there. The plate is about 7 inches in diameter.

I finished duck calls in CA regularly.
