I bought a chunk of cherry for $2.00 the other day..This is what I made with it..Im really starting to like cherry


finished bowl is aprox 7" wide by 3" high.. finish is EEE, shellawax,
and behlins wood turners polish

It had a big nasty knot and crack in one corner..he wanted $4.00 for it but I talked him down to $2.00..then gave me a van full of 4/4 and 5/4 cherry boards..probably about 20-30 bf total..then he found a pile of 2x2x27" boards..said he didnt know what they where..I took all 25 of them ..they turned out to be old growth quarter sawn oak..so it was a good day and the first time I only spent $2.00 there[:)]
