I want to thank my good friend, Mark Detrick (MarkD) for this awesome clock that arrived in today's mail.

I've sent Mark a couple of boxes of pecan and other wood and he made this gorgeous clock for me. I asked if he could use University of Houston colors (red & white) - all I can say is WOW!. This slice of spalted, lightning-blown-out pecan is from our farm in Columbus, TX.

Mark works some wonderful magic with his resin & wood castings. Pictures don't do justice to Mark's works of art - you have to see & hold them to really appreciate how special they are.

Thanks pal - this will have a place of honor in my shop if my wife doesn't claim it for the house.
