I made a few bottle stoppers today. I drill off center to try to incorporate sap wood and bark into the finished piece. 5 are mesquite and 3 are mulberry. The 2nd picture is the backside of the stoppers. C&C welcome

I have recently made some tool handles left with some bark on them.

How does the bark effect the finish you put on? I finished everything but the bark. What did you find worked well?

I soak the bark (That will be left on) with thin CA before I finish turning and sanding. The CA hardens the bark and will polish very well. On the bottle stoppers I used a spray poly as a finish I did 4 coats of the poly. I used the ace brand of spray poly.
