I didn't want to highjack another thread, but I thought it was ironic that we had someone wanting coasters made for his bar room in his garage, just last week.

This is the model we presented to him.

Beautiful coaster John. As I diehard Jays fan that is really nice for the bar or other locations in the home. Very nicely done. GO Jays GO !!! Their season is still not over.

Nice! It's hard to tell from the pic, but is that all inlay using a laser for the cuts, or is it all cut out with a CNC router and then painted?

I apologize. This is just a model of what the coasters could look like.
Yes on both questions though. It could be used for inlay or could be painted.

Usually on coasters, we engrave and either paint or color fill, so the condensation from the beverage, has a place to settle and not just run onto the table. We often leave a lip around the perimeter for the same reason.
