Occasionally when making a large segmented bowl from a flat board I will do a test run on throw away wood like MDF to make sure of my sled accuracy before making it with expensive woods . Like this

This time I decided to not throw all those segments in the garbage so I glued them up and turned them into a bowl l like this .

But seeing as MDF is so plain there would not be much point in finishing it as is and still didn't want to throw it out so I dyed it red and put a finish on it .

It doesn't change the fact that it is just particle board construction but I think it turned out rather nice .

Way to go William!
You ended up with a bowl from sawdust! I like the red!

Speaking of sawdust, I imagine this was terribly dusty.
