This is cherry wood from a tree cut down 18 months ago. Got the basic shape while practicing with a spindle gouge, if I recall. Anyway, it sat on the shelf for months and SWMBO stated that I was to finish it and she would take it. OK, we got the bees and lady bugs at Hobby Lobby in the doll house section. I tried to stick the critters on with CA but it didn't work. Finally had to drill the bugs with a 5/32 bit, glue in a piece of toothpick and drill the hive. Glue the toothpick in and it worked! It now sits on the TV stand.
