Had no clue what to get my father for Christmas this year and of course everytime you ask him he replies with, "I don't need anything, I have everything I want." So, after receiving one of these (store bought) from my wife's great aunt and uncle and using it a few times I loved it! I liked it so much that I decided to search to see if I could find the metal pigtail end and turn a handle.
Sure enough Craft Supplies carries them and I ordered a few and decided to make one for dad for Christmas! Turned a handle out of a chunk of curly koa I had and used my new wire burners to burn in some bands. Finished off with BLO/CA and sanded with MM through 12,000 grit. Hopefully he will like it!
