Love the woodwork! I was wondering about the bookcase, is it one piece or individual pieces? I have been wanting to make one and the original design was made in separate pieces so you could add a new case as you accumulated more books, but I like the ideal of just one unit I think. Anyway great pieces!

yes they a come apart and stack on top of each other. I made this one to match one the customer already had. she wanted it match exactly. if I were to make one I would do a couple of things different if you look at the sides there a mitered with a plywood panel glued in.I would make a raised panel or just a plywood panel. the other thing is for the doors to open I would just use a 1/4 inch pin in a5/16 grove. I used the barrister tracks from rockler there plastic very expensive for the quality of them.this one took about 4 days from start to finsh.
