The wood is sassafras the design is a line drawing of a ballerina (my oldest granddaughter has danced ballet for about 12 years and wants to dance professionally) The line is routed into the back of the blank then filled with resin (I was trying for a nice purple but added to much blue). After curing for two days I turned the plate. Sanded to 600 and the finish is a hand rubbed wax over a coat of sanding sealer.
Comments welcome William
