Another pocket watch

Crossed over the use of soda can aluminum in a pen to a pocket watch and thought I'd share. Its a lamination of 1/4" maple and of course aluminum finished w/ two coats of Minwax Tung Oil finish, then CA buffed out w/ MM and polished w/ Hutts plastic polish. Although hard to see in the pics along w/ the squiggly across the body there are also two rings along/around the sides

Very nice, never really thought about making a pocket watch from wood. I don't carry or wear a watch (just causes stress) but not a bad gift idea!
