Default 325 pieces segmented vase

Started this project several months ago and was set aside for pen making.
But like other things in time they get done..
Material is Silver maple.
Started with the cutting segments 18 per round, 9 for spacers and glue up, then mounted it for turning and cutting out slots.. Wall thickness is 3/32 hand sanding and poly finish.

Lots of precise work in something like that and it turned out great. Nicely done. As I look at it my mind takes it to another level and says what if you used a dark colored spacer between layers. Then it says what if you left the layers intact instead of cutting out. Just another couple different looks with the same design. I find myself doing that alot with many of my projects. Again very nicely done.
