I'm thinking of taking the tips and other too small to use bits from antler and trying a cast in resin. Should I go clear with a painted tube? Or tint the resin? If so, what color? I was thinking white.

John, the black is very attractive. I think I am going to start there. Thanks! My list of castings to try is growing.... I might spend a chunk of Friday doing castings.

Lets just say to stay away from red, i was casting and had some antler pieces in a mold and pour the resin in when light dawned. It looked like a crime scene  that one never got turned. I like bronze, black blue and dark green.
