I picked up this stuff called Washi tape today on sale. It looks like some type of paper tape with a pattern. I thought about wrapping a few tubes and casting it in some Alumilite but did not know how it would hold up. Anyone ever tried this and have success?

According to this article I found...
"Washi tape is typically made from natural fibers, such as bamboo or hemp, but most commonly from the bark of trees that are native to Japan — the mulberry, the mitsumata shrub or the gampi tree. "
Being that the tape is of natural fibers, I would think that would even help strengthen its casting.
