Also if you every want to use something like this I think you need one that locks on aka you don't use the timer. Which I think means a manual dial one.

These units turn off and on the entire oven so a digital electronic one may not work.

On my toaster oven i went with a manual control for the timer and built a PDI to control temp, work great.

Check on you tube for information on building PDI.

Do you mean PID (proportional integral derivative) controller? Because that what I use. I first made it to control my smoker and have also used it to very precisely control the temp of my toaster oven.

Its a stand alone unit that you just plug the oven into. I have all the components to build a controller into the oven but you have to rewire the insides and I'm just not comfortable doing that right now.
