Which one is best for painting the tube before casting in PR? I'm particularly interested in white. Or any other white you feel is a lock? I'm striking out on Rustoleum.

I use fusion . Bonds better to me. I also scuff my tubes

i use walmart brand .97 a can and have had good luck.....i know now that i have said something the next one do will look like $#!*.... well you know

I have used Model Master Acrylic paint with PR and have had no problems. In my case, I painted tubes red and green as the background for watch part pens. I roughed the tube with sandpaper, and just brushed it on. If I wasn't being lazy, I would have airbrushed the color on just to get a nicer coat.

Coloring Tubes

I have totally switched over to Powder Coating my tubes. I find it much a neater, cleaner and all around better solution.

I currently have black blue white an red colors.

I'd be happy to coat a few for you if you'd like to give it a try..

arkie, rather than taking the time to paint tubes and cast them to see what happens, paint some kitchen foil that you shape into a shallow dish. Pour the resin into them and see how the paint stands up. You can use the leftovers of other pours instead of mixing some up special. You may also discover that some colours of paint work well but another of the same brand doesn't.
