Which woods generally need to be stabilized?

I tried turning two pieces of Buckeye earlier and it was like they were mushy. Moisture content was 0%. Seems like they should be stabilized first?

Generally speaking, are there certain woods that should always be stabilized or guidelines?

Thanks, guys.

I just shipped a 20lb box of stuff to a friend that does this. Buckeye is a good choice for stabilizing, and anything with holes in it. Spalted stuff can be soft. Some how...IMHO...no matter how sharp something is, soft wood will tear out. CA can help in some spotty areas...but best to get stuff stabilizied. There are a ton of ideas on how to do that!
