Has anyone tried to Stabilize Spectraply with Cactus Juice, if so does it work well?

Terry Q writes that he stabilizes his spectra ply blanks on a regular basis.

I will be doing some this fall so the spectraply will hold better detail.

Thanks Ken. I saw that but would like some other feedback if anyone else has done it.

I've stabilized some and had the colors run between dark layers to light layers. Anyone else experience this?

Rick I do find the colors are a little muted in the cross grain after stabilizing. Doesn't seem to affect the long grain. Is this caused by colors running together? Probably.

I stabilize all my spectraply, it darkens a little and some colors run, some do not. I do a lot of segmenting Gisi style and after putting in all that work it is a bummer when the spectraply breaks and chunks come out. That happened the first time and I have stabilized since then. Did not happen with diamond wood.
