Looking on the Woodnwhimsies website at the wood stabilization systems. Could one use this same equipment for acrylic casting as well?

No. Stabilizing requires a vacuum while casting works best with pressure.

I bought a vacuum chamber after reading about degassing resin. I should've saved my money and used it towards a decent pressure pot. I still get tiny air bubbles once in awhile so casting a transparent/translucent blank is a no go. When I get a pressure pot the vacuum will be solely for stabilizing wood.
