I am thinking about doing casting blanks. I was wondering, when using polyester casting resin (sold by Michael's), should you use a voc respirator mask?

Emphatic yes to the respirator mask; and I also have a good breeze running through my garage workshop when I work with polyester resin. Alumilite has less of an odor, but I still use the mask plus plenty of ventilation when working with it. I also wrap up my mixing cup and mixing stick immediately in plastic wrap. I leave my castings overnight in the pressure pot because this also seems to reduce the " bouquet" of vapor when the top comes off.
( Just my $0.02, and others may disagree )

Stay safe, Bob
