Well .. I just learned a couple more things. This is all about learning, right?

1. must remember the release BEFORE the pour.
2. I'll never again complain about how long it takes for the resin to gel.
. putting the can on top of a warm oven sounds good in theory..
3. The vacuum sealer kitchen gadget also sounds good in theory.
. a vacuum will suck out the air bubbles, right? but what about the big
. air bubble inside the tubes? Those little silicone knitting needle
. protectors won't stay on under vacuum..
4. It probably is a good idea for a newbie like me to write down things
. on a checklist and follow it till I'm more familiar with this stuff..

Good, you find all the bugs, so I can give it a try without so many failures :p

I'm jumping in to give this stuff a try too.

Has anyone tried gluing normal paper on, instead of using sticky labels?

With my current lack of labels, I've been giving it a try, but getting a mess of glue on the image side of my paper and making a mess of it.

Thanks. Russell.

When it comes to casting with tubes ultrasonic cleaner=good, vacuum=bad. If your compressor has a flat spot (like mine does) it can also be used to vibrate the bubbles out of the PR.

My wife used to work for Wal Mart. She says the Ice Cube trays are a seasonal item (summer) as they make cubes that can be dropped into bottles of water. K I learnt my think for the day hope I helped somebody else get past that important part of there day as well.

Not all scrollsaws vibrate. I have 2 RBI, 1 Dewalt 788. 1 hegner and none of them vibrate enough to knock a nickle over standing on edge.

Yea that is quite funny and sorry about that but I guess you get a different use out of it. Delta is a vibrator for sure. My main hobby is scrolling and I need a production saw and good quality saw to do some of the work I do. I would not be able to do things like this with a saw that shakes the fillings out of my teeth at least not for long and would not be enjoyable. But there are those that get by with saws like that.
