These are my first three attempts at casting.

The pictures are paired and are of the same slab.
The first set of pictures are truly of the same slab. When the slab is turned, it has a whole different color. This stuff didn't do that in my other projects...a nice surprise.

Great job on your casting. Fantastic colors. I especially like the middle one. As stated above, looks like a burl rather than a swirl.:biggrin:

Those look very nice, I'd like to see what's inside as well.

What material did you cast? It looks like Alumilite.

It is polyester resin from the craft store.


Nice!!! What are you using for a mold?

They are from the craft store next to the resin. They had several different kinds and shapes. I used the little square one.
