I'm new to the casting thing, and have hit a snag. When casting blanks into a mold, no problem, but has anybody had much experience putting PR (or slow drying epoxy too)into some other shape--say in a ring around a bowl? It's so runny at first, how do you keep it where you want it? any help would be much appreciated--especially photos:D

I heard you can use a Thin CA glue and embossing powder from Michaels. You get it in their stamping section. I think there are other colors as well. Take some time putting it in, but looks to be well worth it. Use a very small scoup or something like a dental spatula, tap into the groove and then just to the outside of the groove add the CA slowly. It will grab the powder, use an accelerator
to get some fast cure. Once the groove is filled, use a round nose scraper to clean the edges. then double check for gaps in the powder. Repeat process as needed. Saw this somewhere on a video or someone posted it.
