Can PR still shrink after its "cured".

I poured some early saturday, drilled and painted them later that evening, Next morning, sunday, I put them in a low oven (140 - 150) for 20 minutes or so because the paint didn't fully dry in my humid basement. Later that evening, still sunday, I turned them. I didn't have the right hardware so I only put them together last night, monday.

No i know that with slim lines it easy when using a barrel trimmer that as you get near the brass it easy for the trimmer to slip past the tube so its a little proud of it but I was trimming 1/32" of brass sticking out.

To me the PR was as hard as I expected it to be.

Maybe I'll measure them along the way.

Cliff; I believe you are correct. The brass slipped between the cutter and pilot shaft. It can be very pronounced. One solution is to look for a pen mill that has a narrow shaft. I don't remember where I got mine, but the shaft is smaller than 7mm up the point where the pilot shaft starts. This makes sure the cutter will cut the brass tube even with the blank.
