Dumb question

This may seem like a dumb question but when you start to make a watch part blank how do you put the parts on the back side of the blank . I am just starting to try to make watch part blanks and would like some help.

You need to attach the parts to a brass tube, then cast them. I would either paint or wrap the tube first, so that the brass of the tube doesn't show.
