First let me say I have never turned a bottle stopper. That said I generally like to turn a new casting just to see if it works on the lathe.

So in my exploration of new and weird botanicals to cast I can upon dry vegetables to be used in soup. Why not says me ...

So here is Vegetable Beef Soup --- Carrot, onion, tomato, spinach, celery, red bell pepper, green bell pepper cast in a dark brown resin.

As I was turning it I could really smell the vegetables and when I brought the completed bottle stopper inside my wife said it smelled like beef boullion.

So here it is ....

Enjoy and thanks for looking
Mike

So, do you stabilize the food first with something like cactus-juice, or is that straight veggie. How would you keep the food from messing up if it got wet?

BTW - Looks cool
