Thought I would stabilize some peas and lentils for pen blanks . Put them in a 5/8 tube with a metal screw on lid to keep them from floating away , a hole punched through the lid to allow air to escape and liquid to enter . When I went to pull the tubes out after about 4 hours , all I got was the metal lids . The cellulose propionate tubes had pretty much dissolved in the Cactus juice .
So I put the whole mess together into some foil and baked it to see if it would cure . It did , with maybe a slight purplish hue to the resin between the red and green lentils and yellow and green peas . Guess I`ll have to sell it at the usual 50% upcharge I put on my mistakes .
