A/C manifold gauge for stabilizing

Anyone using an a/c manifold gauge set for stabilizing? I'm trying to get a setup going and realize I have most of the equipment already. As a Collision tech, I have the vacuum pump, hoses, gauge and shutoff in my current a/C service equipment. This sound OK? Tips?

You must be better at looking than I am because I can't find it. But I'm on a phone so not a whole lot of real estate. I'll look later when I get myself to a computer.
