Bottle Cap banks

I have seen several bottle cap blanks on this web site I was wondering what do you use to trim the edges of the cap. I was thinking about using a grinder but thought the metal would get too hot and affect the paint.

Some people (me included) cut them with metal shears..

You don't even need metal shears, just a good sharp pair of scissors works fine. I find them a little smoother working than metal shears.

I tried cutting some caps with scissors and they turned out pretty good.I'll post pics when I'm done

Is it a wood lathe or a metal lathe Nikitas?? If it is a wood lathe did you make some type of mandrel to hold the cap?

Tried using a punch and it turned out ok but not as fast as using a lathe..
