Upcoming Auction: Custom, One-Of-A-Kind, IAP Blanket - COMPLETE

Coming up for auction is a generous gift from Wayne and Vicky Winkelman - a custom embroidered IAP blanket. The blanket is a "Twin XL" size, and is about twice the size you see in the photo. Once the auction begins, I'm sure Wayne can give us some more information.

Thanks Wayne and Vicky!

When I saw the color of this blanket, it reminded me that I have some dark and light gray IAP turning smocks left from the last group buy. If you win this auction for the beautiful Winkelman Blanket, you also get one of our turning smocks with the embroidered IAP logo. One caveat, I have only L, XL, and 2XL in the dark, and 2XL in the light.

OK Folks! I'm your substitute auctioneer for this one while Chuck is a little under the weather.

So, who will start this one off? Can I get a $50 bill?

People! People! People!
What you see is a blanket for a twin size mattress.
We had to fold it in half from the bottom to get a decent picture.
This is the perfect size to share on that couch during these cold days.

Mu wife (Vicky) is thinking and working out ideas for the IAP.
This just the first. And it can be yours.

Thanks, Bob and George!

George is on top with $60, but let me "sweeten" this a bit and see who else wants in.

Since I have the smocks here at IAP headquarters, and I am also fortunate to have Malley's Chocolates right up the street, it seems sensible if I were to include a pound of either milk or dark chocolate in the box.

I am the "Fill-In" Monkey :monkey::monkey::monkey: to get this auction to a great finish! (Get better Chuck!)
OK, so

Mr Jason (Argo13)

thinks his pressure pot needs a

blankie..

. And for a mere $140.00 he will keep his Alumilite warm :).

Can anyone else spare a few pennies

to keep you warm as you scroll through the IAP threads from the last evening???

Maybe $160.00 ??

Are you honestly kidding me!!!!!!!!!! Did someone die during this Bash party that everyone is mourning?? Maybe I missed the notice. It is suppose to be a PARTY. No banter no excitement.

I check back here and my bid for this beautiful blanket is still holding up. Great for me!!! I guess that is how you snipe things, just scare everyone away.

Just a reminder differing from the opening post.

I am filling in, and did not read the initial closing of the auction carefully.

I changed the closing to Tuesday, 2/20/2018 at 7:00 PM EST.

This is the when the final bid will be accepted.

We are still looking for a savior for the Blanket, and a beautiful Smock, and some Chocolates!

I was wondering who made a phone call this morning.

The blanket is boxed and ready for an address.
Will be in the USPS system on Weds.
Just in time for that next big snowfall.
Temps here are dropping. Snow falling.
Both the blanket and wife are looking for a place in the sunshine.

Shipping her will cost you more and will be C.O.D.
I have a heated mattress pad.
:foot-in-mouth:
If we get to $200 , I will add some blanks to the box. Wood from my personal collection.

Thanks to Mark for extending the closing time.

The material is fleece. This blanket and others(For this year) are a first time experiment for my wife's new embroidery machine. She is working on ideas for the big one five.

We have several of these blankets on our couch when we are watching movies. Great to keep warm....not so heavy as to get over heated.

This one is sized for a twin mattress. Others to be given this year are the same material but more of a lap blanket for the lazy-boy. This one is bigger then those. And the only one she made this size this year.

We are at $175.00!

Thank you Tom.

The Blanket, smock and chocolates (and possibly some blanks)
are feeling easier as they get ready to flee
the Northern Tundra.

Do we hear $195.00 ???

I also will be off-line tomorrow between 10 AM and 4 PM,
so enjoy the lull - and continue to bid!!
I expect to be back at 5 PM to sift through mounds of CASH bids!!!

Current bid is $175.00
(and the blanket is looking forward to
sunny weather!)

Come on make me a IAP loser again. Although I would like to be warm and have some Dark chocolate. I can always lose the Donor drawing again.
