Round 1 is done and we reduced the 40 entries to 20.

The second round will reduce the field to the top 10 vote recipients that will advance to the third round. The third round will select the final three.

Please help select the prettiest of the Pretty Wood Pens.

The prizes are:

First Place - Sterling Silver pen kit $100 from Silver Pen Parts
Second Place - A gift certificate for $50 from Robutacion / Georges Bits of Timber
Third Place - A laser blank and pen kit from Kallenshaan Woods $40

All entrants that did not make the final three are eligible to win by random draw:

A genuine Lou Metcalf Pretty Wood Pen donated by an anonymous donor
A BOB donated by Edgar, which is more than likely to contain some pretty wood.
A $25.00 Gift Certificate from Signature Pen Supply.

I'm sure the third round will be even tougher.

Interesting results so far, but we have until tomorrow night to vote.

I hope we don't have a voting drop-off from round one. :frown:

We only have 69 voters as of this post. :frown: Voting for round 2 closes at 5:00 p.m. today.

I know that making a choice is difficult, but if we don't get back to the typical 100+ voters for contest voting thread. Round 3 is going to be just as difficult, and we might have to go to Round 4. I'd rather not go to Round 4

If we can achieve 90+ voters for Round 2, I'm going to add a $25 gift certificate to an IAP vendor of choice to the Loser Train drawing at the end of the BASH.

I'm reserving the option to narrow the number of entries that advance to Round 3 to something less than 10 if there are multiple ties for the 10th spot.

You can do it!

I'm guessing decision fatigue with all of the contests and all of the excellent entries. Sometimes the easiest way to make a hard decision is to avoid the hard decision.

We press on. Round 2 is done and 11 pens move on to the final round. The poll will be up soon.

Hang in there, everyone. We're coming down the stretch.

Thank you all for voting.
