Whew! That's 40 pretty wood pens.

I apologize to the entrants for shortening the stories about the pens. I decided to stick with the description to the wood and kit (if identified).

Good luck everyone, and thank you for entering.

You can do it, Wayne!

Voting is open. I couldn't edit the first post in the thread. SuperMike is on call to take care of that.

Wow, to my eye it's like 6 way tie for "best", and maybe even a 10 way tie. I think in the final round last year, only a single vote decided between #1 and #2... I bet in the final round this year we only have a couple of votes difference between #1 and #6. Congrats to everyone who entered - an amazing body of work.

There has to be at least two run-offs.........no way you can narrow this down with one round. There are just to many beautiful pieces of "mother nature" here. They are all winners to someone. The entries make it hard to pick but it also give me a chance to look at some very new pens.

Too bad a prize can't be awarded to each and every one of them !!!!

In addition to admiring the beauty of each, I am inspired to try some new turning styles, materials, and kits .

You're all doing great. Please get your votes in before round 1 closes Thursday morning.

I won't be able to get Round 2 posted until Thursday evening. Then the anxiety can start all over again, only amplified!

Okay, round one is done. Thank you for taking time to vote. I won't have Round 2 ready for voting until tonight.

Remember that all entrants that do not finish in the final 3 are still eligible to win a random draw prize.
