There will be one round of voting to determine the order of the prizes.

Please vote on the basis of the following criteria:

1 - creativity
2 - scope of original work in making the parts
3 - looks, it should be something we would like to carry or have on our desk!

Polls will close at Midnight on Saturday August 27 and results will be posted in the afternoon of August 28.

My entry is a click style ballpoint made with Argentine Lignum Vitae and aluminum. The aluminum nose cone was milled by me with M8x.75 threads to match the tapped nose of the Lignum body. For the click mechanism I made a black alumilite plug before drilling and tapping for more strength. The Lignum Vitae was sanded to 1000 grit and no finish was used, just a high speed burnishing of the wood. The woods natural oils are all that are shining. The click mechanism and vintage clip came from Richard Greenwald.

Twisted cross wrap

This is how you dress a pen.Turned a 3 sided twisted ballpoint pen made from ultra deck railing.Kinda boring looking material by itself.Dressed the body with a cross wrapping,diamond pattern.Red,black,white,3red,black,red.Tied off the ends with white.

Special features:
* eyedropper feeding system,
* two nibs, one for regular writing and second for drawing/fancy writing,
* two ink reservoirs, two colours on hand,
* round ink windows,
* nib windows to ease nib location,
* sliding lock on threading between sections and barrel to allow cap threading on section's front (which I somehow like very much).

Used materials: two size 5 Jowo steel nibs (two tone and specially shaped "fude"), bakelite (paper reinforced), brass tube, steel, epoxy resin (windows and finishing).
I designed and made the pen except for nibs/housings (well, I rethreaded housings to more convenient M6x.5).
