Let's get the party started! Some of these questions may be easy :) and some of them may challenge you  but all answers can be found somewhere on the IAP website!

Here is the first question for the 2016 IAP Bash Trivia Contest!

The IAP has over 20,000 members from around the World. How many members joined the IAP in 2015?

There is a limit of one entry per trivia question per day per member. Entry will be via email to trivia@penturners.org. The email is to contain your guess for the answer to that day's trivia question, your real first and last name, your IAP Screen name, and your email address. Invalid or multiple entries will be disqualified.

Here is a sample reply:

My answer for Feb 1 trivia is: d. oliver
John Doe
johndoerocks
johndoe at iamthebestattrivia dot com

Remember you only have until NOON CST tomorrow to get your answers in for today's question.

Just in years past good natured conversation is not only encouraged, but expected below! PLEASE DO NOT POST THE ACTUAL ANSWER IN THE COMMENTS. Tongue and Cheek answers below are okay though!

The Prizes for today are:

Pen Kit #2 from Kallenshaan Woods $35.00
BOB #1 from Edohmann $25.00

Just to clarify, you are only eligible to win one daily prize, but don't quit playing once you win. You can still gain points and are eligible to win one of the final 3 prizes!

If you still have questions, please check out this thread : http://www.penturners.org/forum/f312/2016-iap-bash-trivia-contest-rules-138222/

The prizes you will be playing for are listed here: http://www.penturners.org/forum/f312/2016-iap-bash-trivia-contest-prizes-138220/

Be sure to thank our generous donors for some great prizes!

Well if that's the answer, the question was obviously "Who is the best looking Bash Chairman for the 2016 Bash Contest?":biggrin:

Now if he had said who has the best "LOOKING" avatar, I might have given him a chance.

T2016 - T2015 = Answer

...Wait, you want me to actually give the number? Ok then...

This was my first reaction, too. But it is NOT NECESSARILY CORRECT!!!

Sometimes, Jeff "cleans house", removing names that have not posted in several years and had very few posts to begin with.

So, you will have to find a different method to be certain your answer is correct. One hint though, If first member was number 500 and the last member is 1000, there are not 500 total members, there are 501, you have to COUNT number 500.

I'm SURE you KNEW that, just a friendly reminder!!

Good luck!!!

After some trigonometry and a particularly nasty triple integral I was able to come up with a number. My calculations accommodate Mr. 500 so I should be set!

The answer to life and everything is 42

Definately!!! you beat me to it, but here it works! (unlike some questions where 42 is a very strange, hard to decipher answer!)

No way! You've got it all wrong. The answer to life and everything is 12. I know that for sure because I am the Imperial Ruler of the Universe - just ask my daughter and she'll tell you.

Last time I ran the Trivia contest, there was a gentleman that would guess "Alankulwicki7" for every question I asked. I don't think he'll be doing any guessing this year. So I'm going to answer "Alankulwicki7" in his stead.

I only did that because I figured that one of those times I would be right. Maybe this will be the year

Now wait a second. It was a long time ago, but when I read "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" I thought he said the answer was 6.
