Many will remember the picture that I posted a long time ago of the rat hole I was working in. Well, I sold off the Delta Lathe and began cleaning it up while time and health permitted. It still has a long, long way to go but I present you with rat hole #2:
The red cabinet in the lower left is one from sears that was on closeout for about $60.00 a week or so ago. It's one of their cheaper roll-away's that had a plastic top that I removed. I can roll it out to get at my chucks and supplies now organised in two spacious drawers. The lathe is sitting on a reinforced carpenters bench that I got from Job-lots earlier in the year. (it was cheaper than building one!) and for weight you can see my meager supply of exotics waiting to have the pen, bowl, stopper or whatever emerge from the scrap wood surrounding it.
Still have a long way to go but for the moment this is it.
Oh yea, I turned the mallet the other night.
