Finally got my new to me lathe wired in.Cost me as mush to get power to it as it did to buy.Started putting it to work with a big piece of walnut 15x4.

Also got most of my chisels organized today.

Very Cool Dale,
Care to share some lathe details? I see it has a nice variable/reversible power unit!

By the way,.......you have a great chisel handle collection!

Hi Charlie,

It is a 240v 2001 vicmarc vl200 sb 6sp infinite variable 16"X16".24 position indexing. The box is a minarik motor master 20000 series. One switch on/off, one switch run/brake,and one fwd/rev plus the power dial 0-100%. The brake is pretty sweet,no need to grab the hand wheel or wood.

I'm gonna have to lable the butts,I was playing musical chisels most of the day.

By the way, congrats on the win.Is it a snap cap or friction fit?

Dale,
Sweet lathe! I expect to see some beauties coming off it!
I have a matching power box on my older Nova 16/24. Mine is labeled with the
Leeson name plate as is the DC motor.

Thanks! The cap is magnetic on this pen.
