Made this out of Delran, can install three size bushing with this one tool heard about the gluing fingers together don't want to try that, after turning it on the metal lathe then put it on the mill and cut the Hex so it is easier to puck up and don't roll of the bench.

Cool tool. What I've been using lately to push in tubes is the corner of an unturned pen blank. The pyramid shape of the corner pushes the tube in just below the surface, deep enough for squaring. The cost is right, also.

May have to combine your two suggestions - turn a decreasing taper on one end of a dowel and trim with a utility knife a 3 corner on the other end.
