Are these the same?

It looks like they are, but the Berea site doesn't have much information, but the Beartoothwoods site says they will fit the "A" and "B" mandrels which are Berea.

A more interesting question is whether the threads on the mandrel match the threads on Rick's squaring jig. I checked one of my Berea "B" mandrels and it is 28 TPI and likely 1/4"

I would drop Rick a PM / email and ask.

Off to church now.

This is from Rick's site

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What this does is eliminate the need for a drill chuck, so if you don't have a drill chuck then this might be just the ticket!

It has 1/4"-28 threads on it and the other end fits in the jig like the regular 1/2" rod does. It DOES NOT include the morse taper part, just the threaded rod and the washer.

Here's a link to the one from Bear Tooth Woods...Bear Tooth Woods - Precision MT#2 Driver

NOTE: Be sure your morse taper part has 1/4"x28tpi threads, some are METRIC!

+++++++++++++++

So looks like the Bear Tooth Woods is the correct one.

Thank you. I have his complete set-up (and a drill chuck). Berea ha a 15% off sales that I would taken advantage of. Thanks again!
