SUPER T-BARS (1" DIAMETER) Shown with optional tool post, sold seperatly.

Using a Nova Galaxy that isn't mine for an abnormally long spindle I am turning.
Problem is, the Galaxy factory tool rest is pretty much junk. Nothing to index my finger on when trying to make a smooth straight. I'd like to get a nice tool rest and the above was recommended to me. Problem is my lathes tool rest does not use a 1" tool post. I have a number of tool posts available to use, but I don't know what the threads are to see if I have one that will work with that system.
Anyone know the threads?

I could contact them, but imagine they won't get back to me until Monday and further suspect they don't post it as they want me to buy one of theirs. A possibility, but I'd rather not buy the tool post for a lathe I probably won't use again. If I could get by with one I can borrow and then buy the one for my lathe that would be much better.

Chris,
Sorry for the late reply. That is a most gracious offer. I will send you a PM.

The 1" is the diameter of the horizontal rest not the bar that fits into your holder. The holder bar (post) is something you specify when you order. in the following diameters: 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 25mm, 1", 1-1/8", 30mm or 1-1/4" Posts.

I understand. My issue is my personal lathe is 5/8, but I have access to a larger lathe with 1" I am currently using for the project. I rarely turn on it. I may never turn on it again. I hate to buy a tool post for it that will only be used to make a few finishing passes.

There are adapter sleeves to make any 1" holder able to hold a 5/8. I may go that route.

Check these out at Peachtree Woodworking USA. Here is the link: https://www.ptreeusa.com/turn_tool_rest.html Scroll dow the page until you get to the "Modular Tool Rest System" section.

There you can buy both the posts in various sizes and the tool rest in the length you need.

I have two posts, both are 5/8, but one is longer than the other. I also have three or four tool rests going from 2" to 4".
