Spindle Bearing on a Nova 1624-44

I have a 2+ year old Nova Lathe. A few days ago the spindle started to whine and got worse the faster I went. Technatool believes its the bearings and should be covered under warranty. The problem is I'm in Michigan and they are in Florida. I've got to take the head stock off and need help with the procedure if any one else has had to do this.

If you replaced bearings, is there a better bearing available. Thanks for all the insight.
