Removing/installing collett

What is he proper way to remove a collett from a Beall collett chuck? How do you insert a new collett? Just wanting to ensure I don't screw up the collett or chuck.

BTW, if the collet is not ejected from the chuck when the ring is removed then the collet is not seated in the ring correctly.
