Anyone here have the new TitanIII chuck. If so what is your method of getting it off the spindle. There is no wrench or bar holes to remove it. The only way I see it is to put a bar of some sorts between the jaws.

Is there a chuck key? If so you can put it in the chuck and give it a sharp hit with a dead blow hammer or a mallet. If that fails then try a steel hammer. Don't hold the shaft with the index pin.

I'll add what a dumb way to make a chuck eh.

I guess you could do that Pete, I would have to use a different key as the one that came with it is a T handle type with a ball end on the one end so no. Some may ask can you not put a wrench on the chuck insert,? No as this is a dedicated chuck, 11/4"x 8 or an M33.
As you said Pete what a dumb way to make a chuck.

Try a belt/strap wrench. Hold the headstock wheel and turn the chuck off with the belt. Should work out fine.
