I've seen some posts in the Show off Your Shops forum recently showing various tools and fixtures and I think that's a great idea. I enjoy seeing other workshops and methods of work, and I bet you do too.
So to formally welcome those things, I've renamed this forum to "Shops, Jigs, Fixtures and Tools"
I know there are some "official" definitions for "Jig" and "Fixture", but my intent is to include all the "stuff" you use in your shop in the production of pens. Whether it's for blank prep (like cutting sleds), turning (maybe tool rests or sharpening gear), finishing (hmmmm, that bent coat hanger for dipping?) or assembly (presses and the inevitable DIS-assemblers), post photos and discuss it here.
We're especially interested in original designs and modifications of standard items, but if you use a unique commercial item that you feel is not well-known, let's hear about it. (Please keep the for-sale items in the classifieds!)
