V 4.2 is now available at NEJE DK-8-KZ Software Install. It appears to have better mobile phone support, but I haven't got my Android installed yet, so I can't say it's any good. The software is still sucky, though.

I just watched the video on this and would love to play with one. How well does it work with small rounded objects like pens.

There's quite a lot of threads here, so have a look at what others say. I'm happy, having had it little more than a week. It works well on pens but the focal depth is quite short. How well it works also depends on the thickness of the pen itself. Cigars are easier than slimlines, for example.

I had mentioned this is another post. I have several new computers. They all work with different versions (I have no idea why...and I don't care; I spent hours trying to figure this out.) I did find with the computer that I use the most often, if I reload the driver before each use (new laser plug-in). It works fine. This is not the best approach, but my head was about to explode and I was about to throw several computers and 2 engravers out of the window. Then hang myself with the cables.
